Volunteers are the roots of this foundation.

Want to be a part of a tree planting? We have many opportunities for individuals, groups and corporate organizations to get your hands dirty and plant trees! Monthly volunteer opportunities are available at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm and Education Center (except for summer months of June, July and August).

For large groups, special events or corporate partnership tree plantings – contact our volunteer coordinator.

Upcoming Planting Opportunities

Together with the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, along with other dedicated partners, the Texas Trees Foundation is helping to replace trees that were lost during the severe weather at city parks from this past year.

Over 700 mature trees were lost at city parks and it would take 5,200 new trees to replace the ones that were lost during the storms.
In order to help with this reforestation process, the Foundation and its partners will be planting new trees in strategic locations to help mitigate
the Urban Heat Island effect and restore the tree canopy coverage in our local communities.

Below are upcoming plantings at local parks in the DFW Metroplex that were affected by the storms.
Please join us by helping plant trees in these local parks:

JP Hawn Park – November 2, 2019
White Rock Lake Park – November 9, 2019
Flag Pole Hill Park – November 16, 2019
Jaycee Park – December 4, 2019
Fretz Park – December 14, 2019
