Best Practices Advisory Committee
Southwestern Medical District Urban Streetscape & Park Project
In an effort to create a national model for streetscape and park design, we have invited a team of national experts that we feel will bring multiple disciplines to the project that will ensure best practices and state of the art approaches are being considered. The primary purpose of the committee is to capture creative and innovative ideas that will augment and push the contracted design firms, and a full suite of sub-consultants to think beyond the boundaries of standard design and operating procedures. This alliance will allow a partnership that strives for excellence when incorporating evidence-based design, public health, environmental sustainability, economic development, mobility strategies, smart innovation, and art and culture into the project.
64 national experts representing 50 different organizations have given their time to support the creation of a thriving and healthy Medical District for the 21st Century.
