Together with the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, along with other dedicated partners, the Texas Trees Foundation is helping to replace trees
that were lost during the severe weather at city parks from this past year.

Over 700 mature trees were lost at city parks and it would take 5,200 new trees to replace the ones that were lost during the storms.
In order to help with this reforestation process, the Foundation and its partners will be planting new trees in strategic locations to help mitigate
the Urban Heat Island effect and restore the tree canopy coverage in our local communities.

Below are upcoming plantings at local parks in the DFW Metroplex that were affected by the storms.

Please join us by volunteering to plant trees in these local parks:

Glendale Park – February 29, 2020

Holcomb Park – March 27, 2020

Tommie Allen Park – March 28, 2020

Lake Cliff Park – April 9, 2020
