Marketing and Communications Associate
Taylor Nelson is the Marketing and Communications Associate of the Texas Trees Foundation, a private nonprofit focused on urban forestry, green infrastructure and sustainable design. The Foundation’s strategic approach is based in research driven data to mitigate the environmental challenges and related public health concerns that trees can alleviate.
Mr. Nelson’s responsibilities with the Foundation include all forms of marketing and communications support to promote and publicize the organization. He regularly attends events to help share Texas Trees’ mission, documents activities/events and collaborates with partners and sponsors to maximize their communications efforts.
Taylor started his career in public relations and communications with several marketing agencies in Dallas, primarily working on commercial, automotive and technology clients. After a few years, he took a step back from the marketing world and moved to Oregon to learn about sustainability, community and permaculture. Having left Oregon, he returned to Texas his new found knowledge and passion where he then joined the Texas Trees Foundation.
In his spare time, Taylor enjoys going on eco-inspired adventures within the Dallas metroplex, attending local business and urban farmer networking events, learning more about permaculture and the local food movement, and watching action/martial arts movies.
