Kimberlee Cantrell is the Development Assistant of the Texas Trees Foundation, a private nonprofit focused on urban forestry, green infrastructure and sustainable design. The Foundation’s strategic approach is based on research driven data to mitigate the environmental challenges and related public health concerns that trees can alleviate. Ms. Cantrell’s duties and responsibilities include processing donations, grant research, acknowledgement, and database administration.
Kimberlee has roots in the theatre with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Christian University. She volunteered one summer at the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture, a non-profit dedicated to fostering the cultural heart of the city, and simply never left. Her role there consisted of running hospitality for the many programs and coordinating the development processes. She also assumed the role of plant caretaker. Dreams of contributing to urban sustainability led her to the Texas Trees Foundation. When not working, you may find her curled up with her lovely dachshund-mix Clementine, frolicking outside, or whipping up treats in the kitchen.
