Jill Magnuson

Nasher Sculpture Center

Jill Magnuson has more than 35 years of in-depth experience in conducting communications strategy in the areas of arts, entertainment, tourism, retail, civic and community organizations for prominent North Texas-area organizations and businesses. In her current role as Director of External Affairs of the Nasher Sculpture Center where she has served the last ten years, Ms. Magnuson oversees all areas of external and internal communications, community, civic and Board relations for the Nasher Sculpture Center, home to one of the one of the most renowned collections of modern and contemporary art in the world.

Prior to the Nasher, she was Vice President of External Affairs with the $354 million AT&T Performing Arts Center overseeing communications and events over eight years of the building and opening of the preeminent arts center. Previous to that she owned Magnuson Communications with a range of civic and cultural clients.

Ms. Magnuson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in Austin. She is a graduate of the Leadership North Texas, Leadership Dallas and Leadership Arts programs and is actively involved on the boards and committees of many North Texas area community organizations serving a wide range of needs. She currently serves as Chair of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas as well as a founding executive member of the Dallas Arts District Board of Directors and a founding board member of CityLab High School Foundation. Ms. Magnuson is an Honorary AIA Dallas member and was one of the founding Board members of the Dallas Center for Architecture (now ADEX).
