Dr. Bruce Brown
Dr. Bruce Brown is the Associate Vice President for Safety and Business Continuity at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He has over 20 years of experience with responsibilities in the areas of environmental health and safety, emergency management, business continuity, and risk management and insurance.
Bruce spent 16 years at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston prior to moving to Dallas to join UT Southwestern. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and completed a Master’s and Doctorate of Public Health degrees in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences at The University of Texas School of Public Health. He holds board certifications as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Biological Safety Professional (CBSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
