
Cheri Cuellar is an Urban Forestry Coordinator for the Texas Trees Foundation, a private nonprofit focused on urban forestry, green infrastructure, and sustainable design. In her role, Cheri assists and supports urban forestry programs, projects, and education outreach to advance urban forestry in North Texas. Her focus is on community engagement, building partnerships with metroplex cities.
Her passion for trees, plants, and the natural environment has led her through a career path that includes serving as a State Park Interpretive naturalist, work with wholesale and retail nurseries, environmental consulting, and municipal government work in water/wastewater and urban forestry compliance.
Cheri graduated from Stephen F Austin State University with a B.S. in Forestry and is an ISA Certified Arborist. When not visiting kids and grandkids, Cheri enjoys camping, hiking, and testing out new plants in her yard. She lives with her husband, Pete, her father, and their two cats and two dogs.
