Thanks to coordination by the Communities Foundation, iStation volunteers joined us at our TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center where they helped prune and water trees before it got too hot.
We had a great time with this team of volunteers, clearing low-lying branches that improved the visibility and conditions of trees. While tree watering and maintenance are essential during summers, Texas Trees Foundation Marc Beaudoing walked the iStation volunteer group through a demonstration of how to plant a tree, which we recommend during the cooler tree planting season instead of the summer months.
We appreciate our volunteers for branching out and truly being the roots of our Foundation!
