“Cool School” Tree Education at C.F. Carr Elementary

Texas Tree Foundation Kerry Harrison and Marc Beaudoing had a great time with C.F. Carr Elementary’s 3-6th graders during their “Tree Education” presentation.

As a part of the “Cool Schools” program, we aim not only to plant trees but to also educate students about the important impacts that trees have on our communities and our personal health!

Students were shown tree cutting samples so that they could learn and practice identifying trees. At the end of the session, we had an engaging physical activity where they acted out parts and functions of a tree!

We appreciate Carr’s Green Team for allowing us to be there and integrating our educational program into the learning curriculum for the students.
