Tree Tender Volunteers…You are the ROOTS of this Foundation

Help the Texas Trees Foundation make a difference by paying it back; plant, mulch or weed nursery trees at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center.

To make your experience more enjoyable, please take a few minutes to complete the survey.

Each day, trees filter our air, clean our water and shade the bench you are enjoying as well as enhance the beauty of Dallas.  The TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center is one of the largest urban tree farms in the nation and it takes a concerted volunteer effort to keep this treasure progressing forward.  To keep it running full steam ahead, we need the help of volunteers to help us replant, transplant, mulch, and control the weeds at the farm, as well some general maintenance and upkeep.  The work allows you to offset your carbon footprint and keeps the green movement alive; and it’s a great way to get your Saturday morning exercise.  It is also a great way to earn those community service hours. This event will occur on the third Saturday of each month, except for June, July and August.  We know that we rely on volunteers, such as you, to help us maintain this jewel in the heart of the urban forest.  We appreciate your support, both as a volunteer and as a donor.

We ask that you bring closed toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen, along with a positive attitude.  We will provide the water and safety glasses and all the tools you will need to fulfill your goals.  We hope to see you at our next Tree Tender Volunteer Day at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center for a TREEmendously awesome time.
